Building Your Business Brand Online

Building Your Business Brand Online

You may not even know it, but you are branding your business every single moment. Branding is a tool that is used in many different ways to create a certain image for a company. The brand that you create is how your customers and potential customers will perceive your business.

Everything that has anything to do with your company will be a part of that brand, from the logo you use on your letterhead to the catchphrase you include in advertisements. When you take your business online, branding takes on a much higher level of importance. It can be easy for your company to get lost out there on the World Wide Web if you do not establish a solid brand. How can you brand your business online? Here are some steps you need to take.

On Your Website

Make use of WordPress themes so that you can create a very specific look for your website. This look should encompass everything about your company, including the following:
 • Company style (formal, modern, classic, whimsical, fun, childlike, professional, etc.)
• Company colors
• Company logos
• Company phrases, mottos, or slogans

Everything about your website should be highly recognizable. People should log on and immediately recognize your business. This is a key step in branding.

On Social Media

You may already know the importance of establishing yourself on social media sites, however; you may not realize the importance of creating your brand on your social sites as well. People need to see the name of your social media page and immediately connect it to you. Here are some ways you can make this happen:

• Use company logos for profile pictures.
• Clearly mark addresses and company contact details.
• Make sure you incorporate company style on social media pages.
• Keep company mottos and catchphrases clearly visible.

Social media is often one of the first places people will look for you these days, and you need to use that to your advantage by clearly creating your brand.

Anywhere You Comment, Post, or Write

Whether you comment on someone else’s blog, post a guest blog, or do anything anywhere in cyberspace, you always need to include your brand and make your company clearly recognizable. Include mottos and logos where you can to keep that brand no matter where you may be online.

Building your business brand is important both online and offline. Make sure you know how to build that brand on the Internet to avoid getting lost in the sea of the World Wide Web.
