Get rid of your Facebook Addiction

In my last post we discussed how a person can get addicted to Facebook. Simply just identifying those reasons is not what we need. We need to find some points which can help us to get rid of our Facebook addiction. So let's discuss some simple points by which we can throw away our FB addiction.



Confess you have the Addiction

The most usual matter that no one likes to admit. We will be knowing that we are addict to Facebook, but doesn't likes to admit it to ourselves or to the public. The first step that you should do to get rid of Facebook Addiction is this, you should admit yourselves that you are a Facebook Addict.

Schedule the Usage

Set a schedule for using Facebook, you can specify a time for using Facebook and you shouldn't use more than the time you had specified. Pin Facebook usage time to your daily routine so that you won't miss your Facebook updates also you won't get addicted to it. There are also a lot of plugins and apps that helps you to limit the Facebook usage time, if you cannot control yourself, use these kinds of plugins, The Chrome Nanny extension available in Google Chrome is a good extension to control your Facebook usage.

Turn Off the Notifications

If you are a person who has to check your mails daily, then you may turn off the email notifications in Facebook. Because when you open your mail, you may get a lot of Facebook notifications which will give you a tendency to log in into Facebook. So disable the email notifications in the Facebook settings.

Define your Purpose

For what you are using Facebook ? Give the answer for this question and log in to Facebook. You should have a clear idea about what you are going to do in Facebook. In my case, my prime aim is to get more traffic to my blog, So i uses Facebook frequently. If you defines the purpose, you can get out from it after your purpose have finished . So this tip will make your Facebook usage, a time tabled one.




Too Addicted, Leave Facebook

Are you too addicted to Facebook ? then you should quit using Facebook or should give a vacation for your Facebook usage. Giving a break for some days will make you understand how to live properly with out Using Facebook.
